Watching
the Video
Big Island Video Magazine uses the Flash video
format. Be sure to upgrade your Flash software,
found here at the Macromedia site, to watch
the videos. Almost all computers are easily
compatible with Flash.
To watch video without interruption, you will
need a high speed internet connection. Cable
or DSL connections should work fine. If you
see the video playback overtaking the download
speed, just pause and wait for it to get ahead
of the playback. When first downloading a
video, waiting before pressing play can also
help.
Blog comment questions
When commenting on stories, comments are published
to the Vog Vlog blog, pending approval by
the site administrator. While it is our intention
to give everyone the opportunity to express
their views, we will not allow overly malicious
or libelous messages to be published. Please
keep opinions as civil as possible. The blog
comments will not be a forum for hate.
We do not sell or supply other sites with
email addresses supplied to Big island Video
News when commenting on video stories.
Freelance
If you would like to obtain video for use
in broadcasts or internet video sites, there
is a method in place for same day delivery.
Freelance fees will apply. Contact ... to
find out more. Raw footage is often saved
with this purpose in mind. Most raw footage
will be saved for a month, however, exceptional
video may be saved for much longer.
Freelance assignments may also be requested.
Exclusivity on assignments will be honored,
although the right is reserved to use the
video on Big Island Video News if deemed newsworthy.
