September 20, 2008 - Hilo, HI - Billy Kenoi addresses the enthusiastic crowd of faithful supporters shortly after the second printout results, which at the time tallied his lead at nearly 48%.

Reports indicate that Angel Pilago will be Kenoi's opponent in the mayoral runoff during the general election. Pilago appears to have narrowly defeated Lorraine Inouye for the second place finish.

If Kenoi was able to achieve 51% of the primary vote, he would have been able to skip the general election and claim victory Saturday night.
