September 28, 2008 - Hilo, HI - Held in honor of Hawaii's last monarch, the beloved Queen Lili`uokalani, at her namesake Japanese-style garden along the Hilo bay.

Hundreds gathered to pay tribute, and enjoy a day of song, hula, food and entertainment.

An appearance by the the 2008 Aloha Festivals Royal Court, a giant hula with hundreds of dancers, and tens of thousands of flowers showered from the sky were visual highlights of the day.
