Hilo faces NW pacific, and this tsunami moves toward NW central pacific. Plus, teh tsunami mass was not big enough as generated on shallow water coast offshore. The PTWC didn't follow NOAA's prediction and insists a real "exercise". Well, that's it. From the beginning, we know the tsunami won’t be a threat to Hilo, if you check the data nearest Murle, Chile.

Hundreds of people were killed in Chile, perhaps thousands, yet prayers didn't save them but clearly a prayer or two here saved us. It's such an insult to those affected by the disaster, many of whom of course, are christian. If he loved us he wouldn't have inflicted so much suffering on those in Chile, many of whom would have said their prayers just hours before the tragedy. They don't seem to have been very powerful or effective. Dave - I hope you don't mind but I blogged about the videos here and included URLs to my favourites regarding the tsunami coverage which I have to say was much better than any mainstream news media I found.
