BJ Penn upset in Abu Dhabi
Dominant Hilo native loses to Frankie Edgar
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates- News of BJ Penn’s upset title loss at “UFC 112: Invincible” shocked residents in his hometown of Hilo on Saturday morning.
The mixed martial arts bout, part of the first UFC card held in Abu Dhabi, took place in the early morning hours for fans watching in Hawaii.
Frankie “The Answer” Edgar, from New Jersey, managed to upset the heavily favored Penn, winning by unanimous decision after 5 rounds. It was the first loss for Penn as a lightwieght in 8 years.
Edgar is now the UFC Lightweight World Champion.
Penn posted the above message to his fans around the world on his website, bjpenn.com, only hours after the match.

Bj penn might of lost at the event but he will get his title back because he is the light weight campion and kendell grove will be the middle weight campion. us hawaiian will rise and take over the ufc.
