On the Saturday before Memorial Day, the Puna District Inter-Faith Memorial Day Observance is held at the Puna Hongwanji Mission in Keaau.
The keynote speaker at the event was Lietenant Charlotte Mundy, a Commanding Officer on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kiska.
