The search for a missing 33 year bodyboarder in waters off the Kalapana coast is set to resume at first light tomorrow.
The Pahoa fire station got a call around 4pm Monday and learned that a bodyboarder was seen in distress at Kaimu Beach fronting Kalapana Village Café. The unidentified man was last seen floating face down before he disappeared in the white wash.
Acting Pahoa station caption Keola Payao reports in a media release that two helicopters searched the area for half-mile in both directions along the coast from where the man was last seen.
The rescue team called off the search at dark, but the it will resume at six am tomorrow.
