It was a happy day at Hakalau Bay Park on Saturday, where the Aloha Honua Festival was held.
This was the forth year the Basic Image folks have celebrated the restoration of the old sugar mill park, and president Kieth “Bradda Skibs” Nehls talked about the latest improvements at the scenic spot.
Organizations aiding this event include the USDA – Forest Service – Pacific Research Station, Big Island Invasive Species Committee, The Blue Planet Foundation, The Kalakaua Marine Education Center & Hilo Marine Mammal Response Network, Hawaii County Police – Keiki ID Program and Starbucks.
