HONUAPO, Hawaii: Honuapo was the location of an acoustic jam this weekend.
Ka `Ohana O Honu`apo celebrated another year of stewardship of the park with the free family event.
Local musician Keoki Kahumoku invited everyone to bring their acoustic instruments for the occasion.
Led by a diverse board of passionate volunteers, Ka Ohana O Honuapo is dedicated to protecting the 223 acres of Honuapo Park, now the largest county shoreline park in the State of Hawaii. Event organizers hope to raise awareness about Honuapo, and raise funds to help maintain programs and facilities.
Ka Ohana O Honu’apo board member John Replogle explained the long road that arrived at the current plan for stewardship of the treasured Honuapo shoreline, filmed during the 2010 Honuapo Hooloaulea.
