• KAWAIHAE – Hundreds of logged eucalyptus trees were engulfed in flames this weekend, as a runaway brushfire burned through parts of the Kawaihae area. The video above was captured by Kincaid Krizek early Sunday morning. The logs were harvested from the eucalyptus stands along the Hamakua Coast and were temporarily being stored across from Pu’ukohola Heiau near Kawaihae Harbor, awaiting shipment to Asia markets.
