HAWAII - The Hawaii Island Trustee is said to be on the mend, with the expectation of rejoining the OHA Board of Trustees in the near future.

HAWAII – The Office of Hawaiian Affairs Chairperson, Robert K. Lindsey Jr., suffered a stroke a few weeks ago, and the agency says he is now in the process of recuperating.

Lindsey, a Hawaii Island-elected OHA Trustee, is said to be on temporary medical leave of absence, “with the expectation of rejoining the OHA Board of Trustees in the near future.”

“He is recuperating and on the mend,” OHA reports. “He is also in good spirits as he focuses on a fast and full recovery.”
