Rose Tseng stands by Donald Straney at welcome reception

Community members and faculty gathered on the University of Hawaii-Hilo campus to bid aloha to the next chancellor, Donald O. Straney.
Straney, recommended by UH President M.R.C. Greenwood and accepted by the Board of Regents, will replace retiring Chancellor Rose Tseng. At a special reception held Friday evening, Tseng stood at the side of Straney as numerous well wishers offered congratulations to the new figure head.
Tseng had words of praise and confidence for Straney during a later video interview, shown above.
Straney is dean of science at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, as well as a professor of biology at the same school.
