Na Wa’a Hanakahi and the Paddlers of Laka celebrated the 10th annual Kai Honua Festival along Hilo Bay this Saturday.
This year’s event featured music and entertainment, long distance canoe races, makahiki games, and cultural practitioners.
The goal of the festival is to honor the relationship Hawaii has with the land and sea through ocean recreation, Hawaiian sports, food and fun.
