Media release | University of Hawaii at Hilo

The University of Hawai`i at Hilo Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presents “The 9th: A Performance of Beethoven’s Monumental Choral Symphony,” on Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the UH Hilo Performing Arts Center.

The concert is the Big Island premiere of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.  Dr. Matthew Howell, the UH Hilo Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conductor, will present a pre-concert Informance at 6:30 p.m. discussing the symphony, the life of Beethoven and the orchestra and chorus.

The concert is sponsored in part by a grant from the Orvis Foundation. Tickets are $12 General, $10 Seniors and $7 UH Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Students and Children. Tickets are available at the PAC Box Office, by calling 974-7310 or online at artscenter.uhh.hawaii.edu.
