Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating two brothers and their father, who are wanted in a Puna assault and burglary investigation.

A 30-year-old man was confronted by three acquaintances at his Hawaiian Paradise Park home on March 13. The men reportedly assaulted the victim and then one of them stole the victim’s backpack from a car parked on his property.

Police are looking for 25-year-old Johnny J. Ikaika Leialoha of Kea’au, 22-year-old Jobe K. Leialoha of Nanawale and 46-year-old Joe Leialoha of Hawaiian Beaches.

Police ask that anyone with information on their whereabouts call Detective John Rodrigues at 966-5385 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
