HILO, Hawaii– Big Island Video News has received word that former Hawaii County Mayor Herbert Matayoshi has passed away due to massive heart failure.
Matayoshi served as the Hawaii County Mayor for one decade spanning 1974 to 1984. He resigned in order to run for Hawaii State Senate.
