HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK, Hawaii: It wasnt long ago that Big Island Video News reported on the depature on long time Hawaii Volcanoes National Park PR icon, Mardi Lane.

Well, there has been a bit of wait, but her replacement has finally been named…

This week, the National Park anounced the appointment of public relations specialist Jessica Ferracane to its communications team.

Big Island Video News has worked with Ferracane in the past, oftentimes in her former role as the president of Irondog Communications and the primary PR contact for the Big Island Visitors Bureau, where she enthusiastically promoted all the wonders of Hawaii island.

Ferracane hit the ground running this week, orchestrating a last minute media availability for the visit of La Réunion president Robert Didier to the park.
