KONA, Hawaii: Leilehua defeated Kealakehe, 35-24, in the first round of the D1 state football tournament held at Waverider Stadium on Friday.
This video shows highlights from the first half of the game. Kealakehe mounted a heroic comeback after trailing 22-0, but there just wasn’t enough time to overtake the Mighty Mules of Wahiawa.
The Waveriders end the season at 10-2.
Leilehua will go on to face Kahuku in semi-final action taking place in Aloha Stadium next Friday.
