WAIMEA, Hawaii: The first community forum on the “Intermission” at Kahilu Theatre will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, 5:30-6:30 pm at the Kahilu Theatre Auditorium.
The theatre board recently – and suddenly – announced the closure of the Kahilu Theatre’s 31st season, beginning a 12-month “intermission” for reorganization, citing declines in ticket sales and outside funding.
“The Kahilu Theatre board invites you to join the conversation about the planned closure of the theatre,” reports the Waimea Community Association, helping to spread the word about the meeting. “The board will have a brief presentation summarizing the factors that contributed to the ‘Intermission,’ followed by an open Q&A session.”
Refreshments will be available in the lobby.
