NA’ALEHU, Hawaii: An unfortunate surprise for Uncle Abel Simeona Lui this week in Naalehu, where the former resident of Kawa found his home – which was removed from the popular beach by authorities on the same day he was evicted – torn to pieces behind the Ka’u Police Station.
County officials had said during the removal in October that the home would be preserved and that Abel would have the chance to relocate it to a more appropriate place.
However, this video taken by Kittrena Morgan and shared with Big Island Video News shows that idea has gone out the window.
Lui has not given up on Kawa… on the same day he was by the corale gate, weedwacking the overgrown grass.
