There will be no Roadwork on Monday, February 17, for President’s Day.

BIG ISLAND LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUAY 15 – 21

PLEASE NOTE: Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD—

1) VICINITY OF UMAUMA BRIDGE
Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for steel bridge repairs. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 25-mph and vehicle weight is limited to 25-tons. For all trucks heavier than 25-tons, use detour on Kauniho Road, Old Mamalahoa Highway and Leopolino Road.

2) VICINITY OF KAAWALII GULCH
Alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Milepost Markers 27.9 and 29 in the vicinity of Kaawalii Gulch, on Tuesday, February 18, through Friday, February 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY / VOLCANO ROAD (ROUTE 11) —

1) VICINITY OF KEAAU TO MOUNTAIN VIEW
Alternating single lane closures on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions between Milepost Markers 8.6 and 13.4, in the vicinity of Keaau to Mountain View, on Monday, February 18, through Friday, February 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for pavement reconstruction.
