Hawaii County Civil Defense message (Aug. 12 at 7 a.m.)

PUNA, Hawaii – Hawaii County Civil Defense has issued a morning Community Assessment and Assistance information update. The message details four assistance centers for the distribution of water and ice.

Hawaii County Civil Defense

This is a Community Assessment and Assistance information update for Tuesday August 12th at 7:00AM.

Community assistance centers for the distribution of water and ice will be set up at the following locations at 12:00 noon today:

  1. Nanawale Estates Community Center
  2. Leilani Estates Community Center
  3. Kalani Honua Retreat
  4. Hawaiian Shores Community Center

Supplies are limited and everyone’s patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

The schedule and location for the Disaster Assistance and Recovery Centers is:

Thursday August 14 and Friday August 15 from 8:00am to 8:00pm at the Pahoa Community Center

Saturday August 16 and Sunday August 17 from 8:00am to 8:00pm at the Mountain View Gym
