HONOLULU, Hawaii – A bill that would increase the speed limit on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway passed the Hawaii State Senate today.

Senate Bill 2375 SD1 establishes a 60 miles per hour speed limit beginning at mile marker 19. The bill also clarifies that the speed limit will be 45 miles per hour beginning at the Pohakuloa Training Area and ending one-half mile east of the county Mauna Kea Recreational Area.
