HAWAII: A high surf advisory is in effect for north facing shores of Hawaii Island until 6 p.m. HST Sunday. Waves could be 10 to 15 feet high.

HAWAII ISLAND – The National Weather Service says a long-period north-northwest swell will build overnight and peak on Sunday, resulting in hazardous surf along exposed north and west facing shores. Waves could be 10 to 15 feet high.

Forecasters predict moderate impacts.
