HILO (BIVN) - Jennifer Leinaʻala Sleightholm zeroes in on the cultural impacts of the Thirty Meter Telescope when cross-examining Perry White.

HILO, Hawaii – On cross examination, Thirty Meter Telescope contested case participant Jennifer Leinaʻala Sleightholm asks planner Perry White a number of questions on the cultural and religious impacts the TMT observatory is expected to have on the summit area of Mauna Kea.

Monday was the second day of the TMT contested case proceeding, and White spent nearly the entire day (his second day) on the witness stand. He was called by the University of Hawaii at Hilo as the first witness in the proceeding. White and the company he works for, Planning Solutions Inc, prepared the TMT conservation district use permit application.
