VIDEO: Hawaiians Gather Before International Inquiry

KAIMU, Hawaii - An evening of unity at Uncle Robert's 'Awa Club on Saturday, as various Hawaiian organizations gathered for one of several events held across the islands.

(BIVN) – Puna’s La Ho’olokahi Ka La Hui 2017 was held at Uncle Robert’s ‘Awa Club in Kaimu-Kalapana on Saturday evening; one of several events striving to unite various Hawaiian organizations across the islands.

There was free food, films and “eaducation”, as organizers promoted. Music from Skippy Ioane and Kaliko Guys, to name a few. Speakers like Hui Aloha `Aina o Hilo and the Lawful Hawaiian Government.

Aside from celebrating the Hawaiian national holiday La Ho’i Ho’i Ea, the event was also a chance to “present the truth” before the expected convening of an International Commission of Inquiry at the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague.

We spoke to Walter Ritte about the developing situation at the international level.

A previous event was held in Kona, and more events are scheduled in the coming weeks.
