(BIVN) – Music, hula, Taiko drummers, chanting and prayers were shared during the annual North Hawaii Hospice lantern floating ceremony held at the Fairmont Orchid along the Kohala Coast.

Illuminated lanterns were release into Pauoa Bay at sunset during the ceremony honoring and remembering loved ones who have passed.

Admission was free, and participants could inscribe messages and decorate the lanterns before setting them adrift.
