(BIVN) – South Kona resident Mehana Kihoi presented her final, oral argument in the Thirty Meter Telescope contested case hearing on Wednesday before the Hawaii Board of Land and Natural Resources in Hilo.

Kihoi followed her statement with a passionate, five-minute rebuttal, opposing the University of Hawaii’s application for a conservation district use permit allowing the TMT observatory to be built on Mauna Kea.
