(BIVN) – Shoppers are geared up for the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, typified by big box store sales events.

But the Small Business Development Center has also been promoting a second shopping date: Small Business Saturday, the following day on November 25.

The Hawaii County Council recently recognized the East Hawaii Chapter of the SBDC, and the local effort to push the nationwide “Shop Small” campaign.
