HILO, Hawaii - Hawaii Fire Department reports heavy runoff and debris on the roadway between the 10 and 11 mile marker of Saddle Road above Kaumana City.

(BIVN) – Heavy runoff and debris above Hilo is being reported in a Hawai‘i County Civil Defense message issued on Wednesday morning.

According to the county message, the Hawaii Fire Department reports “heavy runoff and debris on the roadway between the 10 and 11 mile marker of Saddle Road above Kaumana City. Motorists are urged to exercise caution in the area and to be prepared for heavy rainfall over the entire island.”

As of 8:15 a.m., there were no weather advisories posted by the National Weather Service for inland Hawai‘i Island.
