(BIVN) – Waipiʻō Valley Road will be closed for several hours on one day next week, in order to perform general maintenance.

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works Highways Division says the road will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather and construction conditions permitting.

“Waipi‘o Valley Road will be closed while maintenance work is conducted,” a County DPW media release stated. “Signs will be posted advising motorists of the road closure. Waipi‘o Valley Road will be open to local traffic only (residents and farmers) during this time.”

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologized in the media release “for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.”
