PUNA, Hawaʻi - The survey appears on a new website devoted to the study effort, which will identify potential alternate routes to alleviate traffic congestion in Puna.

(BIVN) – A new survey, and website, has been launched in support of the Puna Alternate Route Study.

The study will identify potential alternate routes to alleviate traffic congestion in Puna. The study is being funded by the County and State of Hawaiʻi.

The survey can be found at punaalternateroute.org. “As the study moves forward, the website will be updated to include additional information, including public meeting notices and draft route alignments,” a County news release stated.

“The online survey seeks to gather public input on travel patterns in and out of Puna, existing transportation conditions and concerns, and emergency access and resilience,” the County says. “Responses will help inform the Puna Alternate Route Study.”
