(BIVN) – Hawaiʻi Police are investigating the recent death a woman in Kona as a homicide.
Police say 34-year-old Aukele Waikiki of Kailua-Kona was found unresponsive on the 74-0000 block of Ane Keohokalole Highway on Tuesday evening, October 27th.
A medical examiner ruled Waikiki’s death a homicide after conducting an autopsy on Friday, October 30th.
The investigation remains ongoing. Due to suspected foul play, detectives from Hawai‘i Police Department’s Area II Criminal Investigation Section have assumed responsibility for the investigation.
