HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Hawaii State House of Representatives says the Joint Committees on Judiciary and Finance will continue with the marathon public hearing on Senate Bill 1 today (Tuesday, Nov. 5) starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Hawaii State Capitol Auditorium.

The proposed SB 1 “recognizes marriages between individuals of the same sex and extends to same-sex couples the same rights, benefits, protections, and responsibilities of marriage that opposite-sex couples receive.”

The House says decision making expected to follow.
