Hawaii Island has the highest drunk driving fatality rate in the State of Hawaii. How to prevent more needless deaths is the topic in Tuesday ‘s Kona Town Meeting.

Held at the Makaeo Pavilion at the Old Kona Airport Park from 6pm, the gathering will feature County Community prosecutor Mitch Roth and the video “shattered dreams”. Presentations will also be made by Lisa Onorato of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Then a DUI Prevention Open Panel discussion will be hled. The panel includes Senator Josh Green, State Rep. Denny Coffman, Kona councilwoman Brenda Ford, and Mattson Davis, of Kona Brewing Company.

Kona Town Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. Light refreshmens will be searved.
