LAUPAHOEHOE, Hawaii – The forth and final of the TMT & Maunakea: Common Ground talks was held Tuesday night at the Laupahoehoe Public Charter School cafeteria. The discussions are organized by the Hilo-Hamakua Community Development Corporation in order to “bring more information to the community that it serves (from north of the singing bridge in Hilo to Waipi`o Valley) so that people can make informed decisions about the TMT.”
Starting off the evening was Hanalei “Hank” Fergerstrom who presented the night’s cultural perspective. Fergerstrom has long opposed development on the summit of Mauna Kea. His talk on Tuesday night focused on the Hawaiian Kingdom sovereignty and the sacred mountain.

Well once again this guy proves this has all been about sovereignty activism. “Hank” repeats the same old lie that there is no treaty of annexation which of course is completely false.
He lies that “Hawaiians were not allowed to practice their “religion”. He claims to be oppressed but doesn’t explain what the oppression is.
He speaks of taking up residents on the mountain, and yet the only people that have taken up “residents” are the desecrating protesters.
Then he tries to make a statement on “religious” grounds, and yet prayer is far different than physically blocking permitted construction.
Perhaps his most troubling aspect is his admission that no matter what the court says, he will not accept it, because they don’t have jurisdiction. Once again he has gone around in circles and is basing is whole argument on that somehow Hawaii is not part of the United States.
He talks of the young people coming out. Why is that a surprise? They all came out of Hawaiian Immersion schools that are nothing but a front for sovereignty activism.
If “Hank” doesn’t believe the Court has Jurisdiction then why did the sovereignty activists file a law suit in the Court?
Lastly, he threatens with “a collision”.
Way to go Diver Dave we Americans need to stick to each other! These Hawaiians think they can push us around and stop economic progression but they’ll have a rude awakening.
This is “AMERICA” and you Hawaiian people have forged all your rights and we Americans will do as we feel whats right for Americans. You Hawaiians need to stop Fantasizing about your dead culture, science and technology is the way of the future.
Without us white people you Hawaiians would still be living in caves like dirty “Rats”, you people need to be on your knees begging for forgiveness for your Hawaiian stupidity.
