HILO, Hawaii – On Tuesday, the Hawaii County Council Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation was given an update on all the parks projects, completed and ongoing, around the Big Island.
Charmaine Kamaka, the new director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, read from a list for the benefit of the elected officials, some of whom were particularly interested in hearing specifics on the overtime costs racked up on recent projects.
