(BIVN) – Harry Fergerstrom delivers his final oral argument during Wednesday’s land board hearing on the Thirty Meter Telescope in Hilo.
Fergerstrom is one of numerous participants in the contested case hearing who oppose granting the conservation district use permit to the University of Hawaii allowing the observatory to be built on Mauna Kea.
The day-long hearing concluded with no decision on the UH application for the CDUP. The Hawaii Board of Land and Natural Resources will issue its decision at a later date.
