(BIVN) – An educational conference and industry tradeshow for medical cannabis patients, caregivers, health professionals and entrepreneurs was held Sunday in Hilo.
The Hawaii Cannabis Open Expo also featured a variety of forums, including a legislative update from state lawmakers.
State Representative Joy San Buenaventura, Senator Russell Ruderman, and Senator Will Espero took questions from those in attendance on several cannabis-related topics, including potential legislation to legalize recreational use, a medical cannabis industry as a complement to tourism, and the concerns that the federal government under Attorney General Jeff Sessions might target Hawaii operations.
