During his address to the Hawaii County Council on Monday, Mayor Billy Kenoi warned that the battle to keep the county’s share of the transient accommodations tax, or TAT, is far from over. 

North Kohala Councilman Pete Hoffmann later asks the mayor at what point will he face the “500 pound gorrilla” in county government… and consider reducing its workforce.
