The Hawaii County Council committees met in Hilo on Wednesday, September 8th.

Early in the day, the Finance Committee agreed to move ahead with the purchase of the “Lucile P. Kingman Trust Parcels”, located mauka of the popular Magic Sands Beach on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona.

Two of the three parcels will be purchased with the Open Space funds. All three parcels are valued at over $4 million dollars.

However, South Kona councilwoman Brenda Ford cleared things up…

The land purchase which now moves on to the full council.
