WAIKOLOA, Hawaii: DOT issued the following road work closure warning for the Mamalahoa Highway in the Waikoloa area.
1) VICINITY OF MAKALEI
Alternating lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) in both directions between Mileposts 27 and 31, in the vicinity of Makalei, on Monday, August 29, through Friday, September 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for slope stabilization work.
2) VICINITY OF WAIKOLOA (CONTINUOUS)
Alternating lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) in both directions near Milepost 14 on Monday, August 29, through Friday, September 2, for guardrail installations.
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
