WAIMEA, Hawaii: When driving past this sign on Highway 19, its easy to know what town you are in. Yet although the rest of Waimea is in district 9, this part of Waimea – up to and including Lakeland – is actually in District 1.
Its a situation that some residents from Waimea are looking to correct this time around.
