KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii: The Hawaii County Fire Department reports that the brushfire that burned over 400 acres off Hinalani Street a few days ago re-kindled on Wednesday, burning another 30 acres between Hinalani and Hulikoa Drive.

A few minutes afternoon on Wednesday, fire officials responded to the re-kindle that jumped the break on the North/East side.

Due to the rough terrain, county choppers had to be utilized to drop buckets of water on the blaze.

The fire was contained and mostly extinguished by 5 p.m.
