Description: This is a Civil Defense Message. This is a Flood Watch update for Friday February 22nd at 4:30 PM The National Weather Service Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the Island of Hawaii. This flood watch will remain in effect through Saturday afternoon. Heavy rains and thundershowers are occurring in some areas and are expected to continue through tonight. Ponding, runoff, and flooding are being reported. At the present time all roads are open however motorists are advised to exercise caution and to prepare for delays and unanticipated road closures. Additional updates will be provided as information is made available.

Instruction: Avoid driving through runoff and attempting to cross any flowing water.
