This is a Department of Water Supply (DWS) HOVE deepwell emergency repair update for Monday April 8, 2013 at 2:45 p.m.

Due to a break down on April 1, 2013, the HOVE water system deepwell will remain inoperable until emergency repairs can be completed. The contractor completed mobilization to the well site over the weekend and plans to have the pump on the ground by this Wednesday April 10, 2013. Assessment of the needed repairs is scheduled to begin immediately thereafter.

Due to this breakdown, the following are in effect:

A. The fill station is now closed until the well repair is complete.

B. Alternate spigot sites are available in Wai‘ōhinu and Ho’okena.

Again, the HOVE Deepwell in Ocean View, Ka’u is inoperable due to a breakdown. The fill station is now closed. Alternate spigot sites are available in Wai‘ōhinu and Ho’okena. For further information call Daryl Ikeda at (808) 961-8790.
