KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – Hawaii County Police are asking motorists to avoid the Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Palani Road intersection in Kona for the next six hours as the department investigates a traffic crash.
The road is closed to traffic northbound on Queen Kaahumanu Highway. Vehicles will be diverted east or westbound onto Palani Road.
UPDATE: 5:54 a.m. – the road is now open.
