MAUNA KEA, Hawaii – Improvements continue at the Mauna Kea Recreation Area. The county took over the management of the park from the state last year. Recently, new restrooms were constructed and blessed.
The Hawaii County Council recently voted to add an additional $1.5 million for the Mauna Kea Recreation Area to the county’s capital improvement project budget.
