STORY SUMMARY

KAPOHO (BIVN) - Some minor flooding was seen in Kapoho early in the day, but it wasnt enough to prevent tourists like the Black family from Wisconsin from taking a look around.

KAPOHO, Hawaii – Early in the day on Saturday, the Black family – visiting Hawaii island from Wisconsin – took a stroll down the streets of Kapoho, where some minor tidal flooding had already taken place due to the apporaching Tropical Storm Darby.

Andy Black, along with his wife Candie, son Noah and daughter Avery, took a moment to talk about the trip, and how Darby had somewhat dampened their vacation.

At this time of day, the effects of Darby were nothing like what was seen in August 2104 when Hurricane / Tropical Storm Iselle battered Puna. However, there have been increased reports of wind, rain and surf in Puna since this was filmed.
