KAPOHO, Hawaii – Tropical Storm Madeline brought some flooding to Kapoho, the easternmost neighborhood in the Puna district, as the storm passed by Wednesday.

The event appeared dramatic but was minor, compared to what Kapoho saw when Tropical Storm Iselle struck Puna in August 2014.

A few onlookers made it down Wednesday to slosh through the deep water along the streets.

County officials say there was some tidal flooding and debris, however at this point in time they have not received any reports of damaged homes in the sea-side village.
